§ MR. CHICHESTER FORTESCUE
said, he would make an appeal to the hon. Member for Tavistock, with regard to his Motion on New Zealand. The fact was, the papers giving full information as to 1631 the late events were now in the printer's hands, and were being pressed forward. They were, however, very voluminous, and had been delayed for the purpose of adding important matter which had arrived by the last mail. He would, therefore, put it to the hon. Baronet, whether it would not be advisable to postpone his Motion until the papers were in the hands of Members.
